The smooth black gave way to pastel rays. I could feel the earth itself breath in the new day, each gasp of air illuminating the greens and browns around me. The birdsong dissolving the memories of the night, the morning rituals of penance and cleansing beginning anew. A small step forward.

The last song I wrote for this album. In many ways, I was just desperate to write an overly long Iron Maiden style album closer.
Heavily inspired by Colin Mawson’s Alone At The Beach which builds and builds in the most beautiful way. I don’t think I reached the same heights but I’m happy with how this one turned out.
